Course Details

Objectives: - Understand the different issues encountered in space engineering.
- Raise awareness of important parameters in the pre-sizing of space missions.
- Train auditors in the technical aspects encountered in the space industry.

This certificate includes the following 4 teaching units:

Fundamentals of Spatial Design - AER213
Teach the basics of space mechanics Give the important elements involved in the dimensioning of a space launcher Make people understand the dimensioning stages of a space mission

Navigation systems for aeronautics and space AER210
Allow auditors to acquire the concepts relating to the use and operation of navigation systems and the FMS (Flight Management System)

Advanced and composite structures - MEC132
Address the study of heterogeneous, anisotropic structures, in particular the study of composite multilayer stratified structures. The industrial interest is obvious (automobile and transport, aeronautics and aerospace, naval industry, etc.). This course serves as a basis for calculations of structures in composite materials.

Gas dynamics in compressible flows - AER102
At the end of this course, you will be able to:
To use the mathematical formalism dedicated to the modeling of isentropic flows in pipes;
To integrate the possible appearance of a shock wave phenomenon into a configuration;
To use a numerical calculation tool associated with a professional library in an integrated development environment (Python IDE) in order to obtain approximate numerical solutions.
On a test bench, collect and measure experimental data associated with the different operating regimes of a nozzle, within the framework of the hydraulic analogy.

Intended for: This certificate is aimed at holders of an engineering diploma specializing in aeronautical, automatic, mechanical or mechatronics wishing to reorient themselves, improve their skills or specialize in the field of space engineering. It is also aimed at auditors registered in (or having obtained) the CYC9402A diploma which already contains 3 EU out of the 4 offered.

Acquired skills during the training : - Be able to calculate the characteristics of a supersonic flow from a theoretical and numerical point of view.
- Be able to calculate the forces generated in composite materials.
- Be able to calculate the main stages of a space mission from launch to stationing.
- Be able to use digital tools adapted to the needs of the engineer while maintaining a critical point of view on the different tools offered.
- Be able to calculate the trajectory of a launcher from these positioning sensors.
- Implement a project approach by mobilizing multidisciplinary skills in a collaborative framework.
